Potrero War, Spring.

Dun Tyr again sought out our services and hired us for this event. A portion of our payment came to us in the form of a great sword from Merlot, which was bequeathed to Ogan who promptly fell in love. Thomas, Katrina, Muriel, Connor, David, Evelyn, Ogan, and Etain, all miraculously arrived Thursday afternoon and had plenty of time to set up camp.

Contract; Hired by Dun Tyr for mercenary duties. Payment: 1 bottle jack daniels, 1 bottle very fine Scotch.

On the field: Thomas, Ogan, Connor, and Etain. Vira broke a string and Connor switched to sword & board. Ogan fought with the Great Sword while Thomas favored the halberd. Etain fought sword and board.
Noteworthy highlights~ Thomas hired a fellow Thug Nation mercenary band that showed up in force. The Crimson brotherhood was able to field 4 fighters the first day and after armoring all afternoon, 9 fighters the second day. They were welcomed warmly by us, and they were paid with free beer from us and Carne Asada dinner from Dun Tyr. We also donated Thomas old spagenhelm to a female fighter from Dun Tyr and repaired one of the Crimson Brotherhood’s cuirasses.

Estrella War.

Fascinating times for mercenaries.  Being hired by the Barbarian Freehold was a noteworthy experience. Brother Thomas and many others have established Thug Nation.  We camped happily in the midst of Samurai, Barbarians, Pirates and celts for many nights.  Thankfully we left the wee bairn at home this time.  Katrina and Thomas arrived first and Ogan, Etain, Connor, and Heather arrived on Thursday afternoon.

Noteworthy highlights~ The Three-Bridge battle and the confusion therein. Thug Nation fielded more fighters than some of the kingdoms.  We found Deteriorata anchored and spent some time aboard.

Potrero War.

Under the careful instruction of Dun Tyr, we bled and died and bled and survived.  Thomas, Katrina, Muriel, Thea, Connor, Heather, David, and Evelyn arrived Thursday. Ogan and Etain arrived Friday morning.  Haemish, Robert, William, Lisa, Lucas, Logan arrived Friday afternoon.

Noteworthy highlights~ Favorite play on the battle field “Hold them off! Buy us 1 minute!”  May Pole in the camp.  Ogan got his Extra-Stout Tankard.  The Dragon Watch presented Dun Tyr with a Mercenary Rewards Card.

Greetings Captain Thomas,

It has been found out through travelers and merchants to the Northern Regions of Atenveldt that Angus McRoberts, a bandit baron in his own right, has laid claim through inheritance to the lands. The deed to the land for the Northern Lands will be up for grabs at Highland’s War on June 13-15 to the mercenary unit that takes the field and wins the war. The Baron of Ered Sul after the war last year with the Baron of Sun Dragon, a poor crop and a harsh winter has depleted the baronial coffers of funds.

So my brother in arms, it looks as though the Thug Nation Army in which the Barbarian Freehold Alliance will be taking the field to take the deed of these Northern Lands from all others that challenge us.  I will be brewing and preparing for this event to ensure that the alliance will have enough beer to pay for those that we hire and will not be able to make it to Protero War this year, but have full intentions to making it to GWW where I look forward to fight againwith the might of Dragon Watch, unless you can make to Highland’s War.

I would appreciate any help if you have contacts in Barony of Starkhafn to advertise that the Thug Nation Army is hiring hardsuit, rapier, target archers and artisans for this war for all war points will be counted and each category will be paid mercenary forces to win the deed to the Northern Lands of Atenveldt.  If you have contact with Baron, tell him that we will be fighting against Landsknecht and that he needs to bring his song with him. There will be no evening of sides because this is a mercenary war.

Estrella War

Our Thane has returned from Estrella alive.  We rejoice because he has brought  many good stories to share.  We have a contract for next war!  At Estrella our household received favors from the Barbarian Freehold Alliance, what an honor.  And some delicious honey meads and brews for us to taste.  Thomas, Katrina, Connor and Heather successfully made the journey.

A Messenger has arrived from the Kingdom of Atenveldt. There is word, to the North, a small uprising is beginning. Dragon Watch, standing sentinel since our time in the Shire of the Burning Sands, is most eager to hear more news of this rebellion.

Ogan and Etain arrived Wednesday night. Thomas, Katrina, David, and Evelyn arrived Thursday night late, Haemish, Sherree, Sabrina, Muriel, and Thea arrived Friday.

Contract; hired by Brother Thomas, payment- 2 bottles of Alfalfa Mead (”Man Mead”).

>Noteworthy highlights~ Sake tasting at the house of the rising sun (compliments of Saiuji). Found Pixie’s encampment after three years. David practiced archery on Friday and Saturday. Two people went in the lake at 12 in the morning. Not a sign of the mysterious samurai.
